PROTECTING AND IMPROVING OUR BAY AND BEACH
|
A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT
This beautiful beach and bay on the northwest coast of Maui has been the site of many wonderful family vacations for four generations.
Over the past 40+ years, however, we have seen signs of degradation in the health of the bay: beach erosion, loss of water clarity, increased algae, and fewer seashells to name a few. We and others expressed our concerns over these ‘losses’, which led to the founding of this non-profit organization to oversee the scientific and educational efforts aimed at improving the health of this corner of paradise on Maui. |
This was done in memory of my parents, Noel and Agnes Brown, who ‘discovered’ this place for our family, and loved it immensely.
